Our experience shows us that most IT projects and products have a long lifetime and it's important to get best value from them.
Enterprise architecture seeks to work with how things fit together systemically/what can be improved/what risks does this create or mitigate within your business.
Our work helps clients document a strategy to work towards for the next 5 to 10 years, establish a roadmap for business strategy alongside the IT strategy and allow each business to understand how it fits with partner businesses (or acquisitions).
Solution Architecture allows us to work through challenges before any development commences.
It's become normal to push solution architecture into agile sprints but this often leads to sub-optimal results and much higher costs. With solution architecture we're trying to answer questions like:
- How does this solution fit the need?
- Are there alternatives that better match the cost/time/performance/risk trade-off matrix?
- What technologies/packages does it comprise?
- How it can be built, verified, secured and performance tested by development teams?
- Will this system perform and how can that be improved and scaled?
In addition we also cater for security reviews and due diligence/legal reports.
Alongside Solution Architecture we are able to plan and execute our development capability.
We provide a number of (client led) approaches across a number of technologies and platforms but our goal is always the best solution for the client.
Our approach always "embeds" business analysts and testers into our development teams. This way we get "soft" skills alongside the engineering approach and this leads to better communication with our clients and a better output because of it.
Mobile Apps, Portals, Single Sign-On, LiveOps, Esports - we do it all.
Business Intelligence and Big Data have become buzzwords across all industries and few use these technologies/processes effectively to improve their business.
We tailor our approach around the customer and we've helped clients understand how to take data lakes (even though we hate that term!) and separate data sources to allow analysts and business users to understand and mine that data.
We also do some AI based work on top that’s useful for some clients like automated segmentation's and prediction algorithms (where this is effective and useful for clients).
We're growing our support arm within Code Wizards.
At present we support (mainly) UK clients around extended UK hours but we're moving to a “follow the sun” model.
But we're not like many organisations that ring-fences "developers" vs "support engineers": our programmers are third line support so any issues will be progressed quickly to our coding team before they become a problem and all of our development team are scheduled to work on support issues so they understand customers and their issues.
